Problems:
Does Not Fire
Marker is not cockedCock the marker by pulling the Bolt (#14) in the rearward direction until it "clicks" into place. This compresses the Main Spring (#2) and allows the Cup Seal (#8) to properly seat.
On Safe
the Safety (#25) into the "fire" position (pushing from right to left looking down the sights).
Out of Gas
Be sure you are using a full propellant source. Replace the 12 Gram if needed, or CO2 tank if using the Upgrade Kit.
Does not Re-Cock
Low on GasBe sure you are using a full propellant source. Replace the 12 Gram if needed, or CO2 tank if using the Upgrade Kit.
Bad Hammer or Hammer O-Ring
Check the O-Ring on your Hammer (#1) and make sure the o-ring is in good condition. If it is damaged or not present, replace. If problem persists replace the Hammer.
Needs Lubrication
- De-gas the marker according to the manual section "De-Gassing".
- Always perform maintenance over a smooth clean work surface. This will help prevent the accidental loss of small parts.
- Make sure the bolt is in the forward position before proceeding.
- Remove the Quick Release Pin (#13).
- Remove the Hammer Plug (#4B) from the rear of the Main Body.
- Pull the Bolt (#14) from the rear. This will also remove the Spring Strut (#4A), Main Spring (#2), Recoil Pad (#3), and Hammer (#1).
- Clean the Bolt thoroughly, includes rinsing in warm water if needed. Be sure to dry all parts well before the next step.
- Lubricate the Bolt and Hammer with non-corrosive lubricant such as Empire Lube or Empire Oil.
- Place the Bolt's Connecting Pin into the hole on top of the Hammer and while pointing the marker downward. Guide this assembly in to the rear of the Main Body.
- The Striker will likely stop when it makes contact with the top of the Sear (#27).
- While putting slight pressure on the rear of the bolt, pull the trigger (this depresses the Sear and allows the Bolt/Hammer assembly to travel forward.
- Return the Main Spring, Recoil Pad, and Spring Strut to their proper position following the schematic.
- Place the Hammer Plug into the rear of the Main Body with the longest portion of the Main Spring / Spring Strut.
- Push the Hammer Plug in and replace the Quick Release Pin.
Debris around Bolt/Hammer
Follow steps above.
Multiple Shots per Trigger Pull
Fires multiple times for one pullYour Sear or Hammer may be worn. This would cause the sear to sometimes not catch the hammer during recoil. Try replacing your Sear and Hammer to solve the problem.
Multiple balls are coming out of the barrel when the marker is fired
Your ball detent needs to be cleaned or replaced. Take off your ball detent and make sure the ball bearing is still inside. If the ball bearing is not present, replace the ball detent with a new one. If the ball bearing is present, clean it thoroughly and screw back in, BE SURE NOT TO OVERTIGHTEN.
Low on propellant source
Check to make sure you are not low on your propellant source (CO2 or compressed air). Refill your propellant source.
Debris in breach / Lack of lubricant
Disassemble your marker and perform normal maintenance on cleaning and lubricating.
For a copy of the most up-to-date manual and maintenance outline go to current manuals for Psycoballistics products.
Excessive Ball Breakage
Low quality paintballsIf you are using old or low quality paintballs it is not uncommon to encounter ball breakage. We recommend upgrading to Diablo paintballs for best results.
Velocity too high
The marker's velocity may be too high causing too much air flow into the chamber; causing ball breakage. Lower your velocity by turning the Velocity Adjuster (#4) counterclockwise until a velocity no higher than 280 is reached.
Bad Ball Detent
The ball bearing inside of the Ball Detent may be missing, causing multiple balls to feed into the chamber and break upon firing. Remove the ball detent and check to see if the ball bearing is present. If it is not, replace the ball detent. If the ball bearing is there, clean it using a dry cloth and place it back into marker. BE SURE NOT TO OVERTIGHTEN.
When in doubt, thoroughly clean and lubricate the marker. Many marker function problems are caused by excessive dirt or lack of lubrication. For further assistance call 1.800.220.3222
